John and Judy entered ministry in 1979. After doing their home service in eastern Pennsylvania they were assigned as Alliance missionaries to Peru. During their first three terms of service they had the privilege of participating in team ministries that were part of the Lima to an Encounter with God evangelistic movement. During those years of ministry they saw Alliance pastors, missionaries and lay leaders introduced over 10,000 people to Christ. During their next term of service John and Judy ministered as dorm parents at the Alliance Academy in Quito, Ecuador. They, along with two other missionary families, cared for 38 missionary children whose parents served throughout Latin America. Their final term of missionary service was spent in Venezuela where they ministered first as the senior pastoral couple in a dynamic church on the outskirts of Caracas. Then they made the move into the capital city to serve in field leadership and church planting. In the past, John and Judy ministered in a church plant in eastern Pennsylvania. In December of 2005, John and Judy returned to their home church in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, this time as Senior Pastor. The McMannuses have two children.
